Happy Sunday! I hope that your weekend has been amazing so far. Here it is windy and blustery….. the perfect day to stay indoors and have fun stamping! Also a great day to share a sweet, but simple sympathy card with you showcasing the Forever Fern bundle.
The base of this card is Basic White Thick Cardstock (measurement: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) folded in half using the bone folder to make a nice, crisp edge.
The second layer is also Basic White Cardstock (measurement: 4 1/4″ x 3″). This piece of carstock is embossed using the Brick and Mortor 3D embossing folder.
The third layer is also Basic White Cardstock and uses the rectangular stitched framelits – use 2 of the sizes to die cut the rectangular frame. The 1″ x 3″ die is nestled within the 1 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ die, then cut out using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Please ensure that you have equal spacing on all four sides. It may be helpful to adhere dies with low tack tape prior to running through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
The leafy stem is from the Forever Fern Stamp set (pg. 110) and stamped with the Shaded Spruce Stamp pad. It is then cut from the coordinating framelits using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Adhere the leafy stem in place using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The words “With Love and Sympathy” are from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set (retiring soon!). Stamp with the Shaded Spruce Stamp pad onto Basic White Cardstock. If you have any questions about how to make this card, please feel free to email me – I’d love to help you with your creative journey! 🙂

25 years ago, I decided to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (because my “Mum” and I wanted the Stampin’ Up! discount), and it was one of my best decisions ever!!! I have been happily stamping, scrapbooking and paper crafting since that time. I feel very blessed to have “fallen into” an organization that has given so much in terms of wonderful friendships, financial compensation, and an opportunity for both artistic expression and relaxation.
