I hope that your day is going wonderfully! Below I would like to share a simple Sympathy card made with the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder.
Make the base layer with Very Vanilla thick cardstock (measurement: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2). Fold in half and score with your bone folder with a nice, crisp edge. The next layer is Misty Moonlight Cardstock (measurement: 5 1/4 X 4). Adhere to the center of the front of your card. The top layer is Very Vanilla (measurement: 3 3/4 X 5).
Make a mask starting with a piece of scrap cardstock cut to roughly 5 1/4 X 5 3/4. This piece is purposely cut to be too big so you will have something to hang onto when applying the shimmer paint. Dry emboss the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder in the center of the scrap. Cut out the flowers (starting with a hole in the middle) and cut slightly INSIDE the edge of the flower.
Emboss the Magnolia on the top layer of Very Vanilla (measurement: 3 3/4 X 5). Position mask over embossed top layer. Put a small amount of shimmer paint on your silicone mat. With a blending brush, add shimmer paint to flowers. Please note that it is important to clean the blending brushing right away. Allow to dry and adhere to the Misty Moonlight Cardstock.
The phrase “With Sincere Sympathy” is from the set Peaceful Moments (page 19 of the 2020/2021 catalog) and is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink. If you have any questions about how to make this card, please feel free to email me – I’d love to help you with your creative journey! 🙂
