It seems that Easter is sneaking up on us this year. Our snow has finally melted from our crazy, unexpected, once in 20 year snow storm! I love that our days are getting longer and sunnier! Below is a card that I am excited to show you…… it uses the adorable bunny from the Springtime Joy Stamp set as well as Ice Cream Corner DSP and the new blending brushes.

Stampin' Up! Springtime Joy and Arrange a Wreath "Happy Easter" words are used to make this card.
The Cardstock base is Seaside Spray (a retiring color – yikes! – if you want this color, make sure to get ASAP before it is sold out!) The measurements are: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 – this piece is scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2, then fold back and forth to make the fun fold. The Seaside Spray “inside” of the card is dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. The Ice Cream Corner DSP is 2 3/4 X 5 1/2 and adhered to the front of the card. Basic White cardstock was die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die (largest die).
The sweet bunny from Springtime Joy was colored with Gray Granite - first outline the bunny with the dark Gray Granite, then fill in with the lighter Gray Granite.
Stamp the sweet bunny from Springtime Joy with the Tuxedo Black Momento Ink then color with Gray Granite – first outline the bunny with the dark Gray Granite, then fill in with the lighter Gray Granite. Stamp basket with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink, then color as described below.
Stampin' Blend colors are used for this card.
Color the bunny’s floral crown with with Seaside Spray and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. The Basket was colored with Crumb Cake and Bronze and the eggs were colored with Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Soft Seafoam, and So Saffron.
Stamp the butterfly from the Springtime Joy stamp set using the Tuxedo Black Momento Pad and color with So Saffron. Stamp the Happy Easter sentiment from Arrange A Wreath with Misty Moonlight.
Blending brushes are used to lightly create a sky and grass background.
With the blending brush, add a a little color the the background using Pear Pizzazz and Seaside Spray. Then,”fussy cut” the bunny and adhere and raise with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut out the basket and and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Finally, adhere your Basic White Cardstock on top of the Ice Cream Corner DSP.
