I love the Hydrangea Haven Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog – there are so many fun techniques that you can you use with it. The phrase was created with the Many Messages Stamp Set and Messages Die. Please read below to find out how to make this vibrant hydrangea bloom.
The Cardstock colors used for this card were Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, and Soft Sea Foam, and Pear Pizzazz. The pretty green gem on the right side is made from a clear faceted gem colored with a the light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend.
To make the colorful bloom, first the flowers were cut out of the Hydrangea dies (the piece that has 9 flowers) from Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. The flowers were then swiped with Sponge Daubers using the Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape. Then press in the center of each flower with the end of a craft paintbrush or stylus to raise the edges to give a 3 Dimensional look. Finally, glue them close together on the larger piece in the Hydrangea dies. For more precise instructions, please click on PDF below.

25 years ago, I decided to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (because my “Mum” and I wanted the Stampin’ Up! discount), and it was one of my best decisions ever!!! I have been happily stamping, scrapbooking and paper crafting since that time. I feel very blessed to have “fallen into” an organization that has given so much in terms of wonderful friendships, financial compensation, and an opportunity for both artistic expression and relaxation.
